Steve Fox has 35 years in the matchmaking/events industry. Post-Pandemic, The Steve Fox Social Club has seen an increase in affluent singles looking for love. The Steve Fox Social Club, which maintains the largest private database of singles in the United States, is best know for its monthly party attracting 500+ singles of all ages.
Over the years, Steve has connected over 500 marriages and thousands of relationships. Today, he interviews several people each week and selectively determines who would be appropriate clients. FMM: You have always been a super-connector. Tell us about your background.
I have always been a very social person. my path to connecting people began early…at the age of 21 I was picked by the mayor of New York to run for political office. it was always natural to talk to people and connect them.
FMM: Tell us about the Steve Fox Social Club.
What separates me from any other social club or matchmaker is that I have a truly vertical operation. “I” meet with everybody personally…and they work only with me during this journey making it a very seamless and efficient process. I also am the only matchmaker in the country that actually guarantees results.
FMM: After being isolated with the pandemic, are you seeing an influx of singles wanting to get into the dating game?
Absolutely. I have never seen more interest, involvement or the need to make connections as there are now. No day goes by without me speaking to several new matchmaking clients looking to sign up.
FMM: How much fun is matchmaking? Can you share a few success stories?
Of course it is… helping people find love…nothing better. A few years ago a top level head of major national bank called to say he got divorced and could I help him. I picked out one candidate that I felt was appropriate..it was the first date for both. They got married within the year and by following had a child. Another story…I recently got a call from a 78 yr old woman that was referred to me by a client. I flew up to NYC and met her just before the pandemic began. I went through my database and found a great candidate for her. They met that week and have been together ever since. This is life-changing.
FMM: Why are you one of the best matchmakers?
I am one of the best matchmakers in Florida New York. I am the only matchmaker in the country that has had a party every month for 30 years. I am able to meet many new people each and every month..therefore I have a steady flow of potential candidates and clients each and every month.
FMM: Tell us about the “Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match!”
When the pandemic began, and parties were shut down, I came up with a concept to do this dating game. It was a way that let people participate and meet people in a fun experience, in a safe manner. It worked exceptionally well. Many people were matched up and are still seeing each other. More importantly, it allowed me to continue meeting many new people as well. In short, it was, and still is, a huge success.
FMM: What exciting events do you have planned in the upcoming months for Affluent Singles?
First things first, as the pandemic draws to a resolution and we are allowed to do large events, I will kick off with a big grand reopening event in the very near future. Dinner parties and other small events will follow.
FMM: What is your vision for matchmaking in 2021?
Matchmaking will be more important and stronger than ever in 2021 and forward. People have come to realization that relationships are more important than ever…being alone or holed up by oneself is not good for anyone that has ramifications on many levels. In short, we must live as much and as well as we can everyday..starting today.
