FMM: Post-Pandemic you haven’t slowed down. What have you been working on?
After being off work for almost one year and half because of COVID which it kind of scared me, since our son is almost 2, and rejecting 6 offers from various directors in different states , I decided to move forward with my acting career. That was too long of a break from the industry and I’m sure everyone else like me was missing being beyond the camera! I had a role in Wells by Immanuel Baldwin ,which its been postponed to the Fall. For The Clown Shoes by Angel Rosario and Mobula Production, I’ve been working on my new reel and doing Voice Over classes with Mobula Production. I’ve also been working on Vulture City 4 by Marcus Carothers and a project with my wife Talena who is also an actress. She’s been helping me out a lot with my scripts for 5 years now, and this will be the second project that we will be working on together and hopefully many more!
FMM: What genres and roles interest you?
The genres and roles that interest me are the ones that continue to challenge my acting abilities like psychological thriller and addiction and mental illness. My favorite roles are the gangster, the tough guy types and since I have a thick Italian accent it sounds really good in the film.
FMM In Human Hibachi, you play a cannibal. How did you prepare for this role?
Playing the cannibal in Human Hibachi by Mario Cerrito was different. I had to research cannibalism itself and watch a lot of cannibal movies which I enjoy since I love horror movies so it was not hard at all to get in character.
FMM: The Clown Shoes wasn’t your ordinary gangster movie. Tell us about the film.
I can’t say much since we only filmed the pilot ,what I can say though is that it’s not your usual Gangster movie with the usual story line, that’s what intrigued me. The writer Angel Rosario is making a masterpiece. You have to wait until we complete it to find out.
FMM: You have a new film coming up, Vulture City 4 where you play a wealthy heroin dealer. How did you prepare for this role? What led you to this project?
For all of the projects that I work on, I do a lot of research. For Vulture City 4, I watched some cartel/drug movies where I could analyze the “Boss” and I got myself in character. I was reached out for this role directly from the Director.
FMM: Why do psychological thrillers intrigue you?
Psychological Thrillers intrigues me because it’s a combination of Terror and Fear. When you are in character which can be challenging sometimes, the fear and anxiety that you project in that moment can drive the psychological tension in unpredictable ways at the end ,sometimes surprising not only the viewer but also ourselves as actors
