I am humbled to share, I could innovate the sound of silence of my life 2.0 as a lion’s roar with strategies based actions by illustrating my Differently Enabled Distinctly Audible Unique Voice, currently, in my 25th year as a stage IV vocal cords, cancer survivor into the university of experiences for creating Himalayan opportunities as a global captivating influencer and a spontaneous inspirational speaker.
This is my relentless surge since 2011 to build the Bridges between the Head, Heart, and Gut in the lives of countless known and unknown faces of privileged, honored to receive the Cancerwinnershrenik tag.
Close to a half-century of experience in International business as a marketer, exporter of Dyestuffs ~ colors for various dyeing applications I’ve Been to 37 countries, 200 +overseas business trips from 1986-96 and; I was known as a cowboy by the European buyers, frequently was boarding plane 7 times in 30 hours from India to Europe & within European cities. Till 1997, was a dedicated business cum family man with quite limited social friendly acquaintances. I never smoked or used tobacco. I am a strict vegetarian.
In early 1997 at the age of 44, my natural voice turned into hoarseness to whisper, associated with acute restlessness~breathlessness, loss of weight in August 1997 I was diagnosed with stage IV vocal cords cancer and wide-field massive surgery was performed and lost natural speaking ability. Post radiotherapy in December 1997, I started speaking by using an electrolarynx by placing it under my chinand touching my throat, the voice sounded differently but distinctly audible.
Being the only earning member of the family of 4and despite the rejection of my new voice by the people at that time, I bravely accepted the challenge and forever reality of life 2.0 by default and continued speaking to date with diehard courage, willpower, confidence, committed as a vocally communicative and precisely audible to stand out tall in this fast pace of the world among countless intellectuals influencers and living in the moment as if there is no tomorrow.
From 2011, started global counselng~advocacy activities for cancer patients, survivors including motivating youngsters through my in-person, online talk shows and interviews.

The world’s 1st as vocal cords cancer survivor. Read pages 79-109, 30 global testimonials. In October 2020 conceptualized, anchored, moderated and streamed 20 episodes of the 1:1 exclusive Facebook live under e-health series to date with 40000+ views by inviting super specialists medical professionals for knowledge sharing with the community. This too is, 1st in the world as a vocal cord cancer survivor including back-to-back, 9 live talk shows and interviews including on TV news channel by sharing platform with veteran oncologists on 4th February 2021 on World Cancer Day. On 31st May 2021, World No Tobacco Day, I was invited to interview veteran Head and Neck cancer surgeon, Dr.Anil Cruz, president of UICC, Geneva controlling cancer globally.

Cancer or any other dreadful disease is like Stallion, either you ride on it, else, it will ride on you by default. By illustrating this formula, in 2011, I have chosen the path of revamping the myth of cancer always causes life nearing the end. I indulged in counseling activities out of my own experiences, which I had gone through before, during, after massive surgery including 30 rounds of radiotherapy when neck and throat skin got charred.
Some of the key reasons people are coming to me today are:
Watching and listening to me speaking with a unique voice as a stage IV vocal cords cancer survivor gives much-needed spark, rays of countless HOPES towards survival to the patients, survivors, near and dear ones. During my counseling activities, by default, I consider the person as a human being with Zero discrimination and establish a comfort zone keeping with him/her in the 1st place by landing my ear to all his/her concerns and addressing each concern suitably to the best of my knowledge, experiences without giving single medical advice. My major concerns are patients getting a timely diagnosis, treatments and getting cured, people. I don’t recommend any medical treatment protocols, medicines, or products including hospitals or doctors to the patients and their caregivers.
If I am asked, I help them for FREE by coordinating their meeting with super specialists using my contacts asking them to deal with doctors directly and independently. All these, help patients and caregivers in learning the acceptance of the situations with courage, confidence , and never giving up approach to lead a quality life.
Last but never least, the spread of words by patients, caregivers, Doctors, social media platforms, my in-person, online talk shows and interviews, 150+ during the last 18 months alone, etc. are playing key roles for people reaching out to me for getting counseling.
FMM: You won the “Patient Leader Hero Award Winner 2021” from WEGOHEALTH USA out of 21000 nominations. What does this mean to you?
Based on global endorsements and numerous soulful comments received from patients, caregivers, super specialists medical professionals, educators and fellow influencers. I was shortlisted to the 1st position among the top 6 followed by winning the title as the Patient Leader Hero Award 2021 and towards my advocacy activities which is a very prestigious recognition on the global platform especially with my differently enabled unique voice and topics.
