Nick Borrego is a 24-year-old serial entrepreneur that has dreams of making a positive impact on the planet.
Starting with the Borrego & Bendel Corporation internationally award-winning TL20G1, a highly effective and efficient smart traffic device that will revolutionize technology and transportation. “Our goal is to exponentially increase safety, efficiency, accurate data collection while reducing the detrimental environmental and economic costs associated with present traffic management. We will do this by imbedding an impressive series of algorithms, IoT interconnectivity, and blockchain designed by our world-renowned Silicon Valley engineers and Oak Ridge National Laboratory engineers. Then we will finalize our prototype and begin testing, implementation and receive our desired global impact.”
FMM: When did your passion for helping others begin?
My passion for helping others was instilled in me as a child. Growing up part time in the City of Denver and part time in a rural community in East Tennessee has shaped me into who I am today. This was due to the fact, that I learned what hard work was at an early age and what it felt like to help people. From living in my parent’s office in Denver and helping with small duties, to helping my grandfather on the farm in Deer Lodge. As I grew older, I realized I was capable of more and began helping others in my community. More than just physical labor, although this was plentiful too, I would help people make decisions and bring people up when they were down. I realized that I could make a difference in someone’s life by simply complimenting them or having a brief conversation. Now, I intend to help the world through innovation that will save millions of lives, hours, dollars and create the accurate data to shape the future of transportation and healthcare.
FMM: Tell us about Borrego and Bendel Corporation.
Borrego & Bendel Corporation is an internationally award-winning smart city technology startup that focuses on revolutionizing traffic management. We focus on tackling real world problems, such as, safety, efficiency, high-cost and inaccurate data located at signalized intersections. We plan to do this by incorporating highly advanced artificial intelligence, IoT interconnectivity, quantum computing, fintech, self-sustainable energy and so much more. Our team consists of visionaries, globally recognized PhD engineers, smart city experts, white collar executives and dreamers that have enough passion to make the impossible possible. Right now, Borrego & Bendel Corporation has finalized Phase One of Engineering with our globally recognized Silicon Valley team and is in the process of securing funding to move to Phase Two of Prototyping. We are also in talks about partnering with Fortune 500 and Inc. 5000 companies and created a global presence in the smart city market. At this time, Borrego & Bendel is finalizing the provisional patent application and plan to submit in the next week.
FMM: How is your company increasing safety and efficiency on our roadways?
Borrego & Bendel Corporation will increase safety and efficiency on our roadways by incorporating highly advanced software and simplistic hardware solutions. Regarding safety, understanding that we can not prevent every crash from happening we have incorporated a software called SmartResponse. SmartResponse detects a crash within a tenth of of a second, transmits footage, provides an exact location, and alerts drivers of approaching emergency vehicles. This will assist emergency responders in reducing response times to crashes. We have also incorporated a safety software in our technology that allows us to communicate with autonomous vehicles, this not only creates a safer driving environment but improved AV success rates. In total we have 23 (and counting) software and hardware solutions housed in the worlds most simplistic user interface that benefits governments, communities and traffic engineers across the planet. At this time we are currently undergoing the patent process and have to be limited on the information that we present to the public. Regarding efficiency, we have incorporated highly advanced artificial intelligence, IoT interconnectivity, and other state of the art technology to improve our worlds traffic flow. With our technology signalized intersections will be able to not only detect present congestion but learn traffic patterns on a daily basis to improve traffic flow in the present and the future. On top of this our technology allows for each signalized intersection to communicate to each other to relieve congestion in the most effective way possible. The TL20G1 was designed to be an al l-in-one solution, this means that we control traffic patterns for not only vehicles but pedestrians and micro mobility users as well.
FMM: What is your mantra?
We currently have two Mantras.
1. “Small Steps Lead To A Greater Future.”
2. “Using Tomorrow’s Technology To Solve Today’s Problems.”
FMM: Why is the TL20G1 the best solutions out there?
The TL20G1 sets itself apart by creating an all-in-one solution that is globally affordable. Unlike our competitors that focus primarily on one aspect of traffic, we focus on maximizing safety, efficiency, affordability, and producing live time accurate data, all in a single device. Our technology also holds a revolutionary edge by providing immediate impact at a single touch of a button (AutoControl) to being fully customizable to fit any agencies and community’s needs. Some examples that our technology provides includes, instant public communication, predictive maintenance, interconnectivity to other devices, self-sustainable energy, live time traffic control, and this is just scratching the surface. What makes the biggest impact is the fact that our technology has more components and advancements than any other organization in the world and we plan to deploy our technology for half the cost of our competitors. We believe in impact over profits, at the end of the day we want to save lives, time, money and create the accurate data to shape the future of transportation.
FMM: What challenges did you face on your road to success?
First and foremost being an entrepreneur is anything but easy. It takes an extraordinary amount of discipline, motivation, perseverance, dedication and execution. Some examples of the challenges that I had to face was turning an idea into viable project, developing a team capable of creating the technology, generating funding, and understanding that not everyone has your best interest.
FMM: Share your vision for the future.
I believe that we are on the tipping point of a technological revolution. As innovators come together we will see the world transition into a new digital era that will test new limits. As a serial entrepreneur that is directly involved in both technology and healthcare, our mission is to bring revolutionary advancements to the industry at an affordable price. Examples of this stem from the TL20G1 in transportation to producing insulin and selling it for $1 more than the cost to make it. The best part is, this is just the beginning. We want to revolutionize affordable housing, provide better educational opportunities on entrepreneurship for all ages, create non profit organizations that 100% of the donations go towards the cause, turn employment into life journeys, and create innovative technology and products that are positively impactful to both the environment and economy.
