FMM: You have been in the entertainment business for years. What led you to the industry?
When I was a kid I would see an actor and instantly knew all the other parts they played. I still do that. I always thought If they can do it I can do it too. But with 3 other siblings and living in Texas, I had to wait until I was an adult to take control of my life and move to Hollywood. So, at 23 I made the move after 2 marriages and 2 kids. Yes, we start young in Texas.
FMM: Tell us about the Actors 2020 Podcast.
In 1999 I had my own radio show in Hollywood called “Johnny Keatth’s Actors Radio”. It was me, my wife at the time Princess Denise and my best friend Big Time Phil. It was a live show every Sunday Night with industry news, movie reviews, motivational quotes, Sunday night box office totals and more. It lasted two years we did 100 show and was so much fun. Fast Forward Feb 2019 I started a Podcast teaching people how to start their own service business, but was quick to find out no one wants to actually work anymore. So, I thought back to my radio show days and decided to interview Actors. It has been one of the best decisions of my life. I love my podcast and producing it. All for free. I pay for it out of my own pocket and don’t sell subscription or take any advertising money.

FMM: Who have been your memorable guests?
All of them. Sam Pio comes to mind as a 9-year old Christian singer / actress. Another young talent Journey Lockhart the perfect dancer. Indonesia young superstars like Celine Gabrielle, Jane Callista, and Jovelyn Ashley. Acting Coaches Wendy Alane Wright and Amy Lyndon. Lacy Caroline Super Girl and Jordon Flippo Super Woman are two amazing Talents. I get amazing letters from the parents of each child that I interview, saying how did you get my kid to open up like that, no one does that. Your the “Kid Whisperer”. I’ll take it. They are all amazing. I hope to be Host of a Children TV show one day. When I interviewed a couple of actors over 50 actors and they were all killing I decided start pursing acting again and I have not looked back.
FMM: What do you look for in a guest?
Someone who has a story that needs to be told. If I can shine a spotlight on someone who would have not been giving a chance by other media to feel like they have been heard. That is amazing to me. Or a talent that has opportunities in front of them, but they can’t see it. I love mentoring them privately and they take my advice and direction and they move forward. They say if it was not for you I would have never done this and they are so thankful. Sometimes it just takes one person to say you are good enough, you can do it, I’m proud of you, hang in there, your almost there and I love and adore you. Those are precious words from my late great father Orbin who said that to me every day til the day he died. I pay that wisdom forward when I can and it touches me in my heart.
FMM: Share upcoming topics and why Season 5 is special?
Season 5 is “The Season of the Woman”. The most precious thing on this planet, more than silver, platinum, gold or diamonds are WOMEN. They have taught me most everything I know and have molded me into the MAN I am today. I want to share as many of their amazing stories that I can and highlight them and give them the attention that they deserve. I am recently divorced and had an amazing 20+ years with such a woman. The next woman that I meet will be thanking her everyday as I enrich her life with the amazing qualities that I now pocess and I can’t wait to meet her.
FMM: What are your goals for 2021?
Keep doing the podcast. It keeps my listeners and me what is currently happening. How are the actors getting work? What part of the country or world it hot right now? It is an international podcast and I want to get more people from around the world back on the show. Personally, I want to co and guest star on TV. Getting on some type of series would be amazing. I would never leave that show. I am sure I will end up help producing it as it moves forward. I have an opportunity right now, cross your fingers I am on the shortlist, plus the co and guest star auditions are coming in now. Thanks to my awesome managers Jacque Pederson – Schrimscher and Robert Blume from Step Forward Entertainment who took a chance on me. I am doing everything I can to make them proud and money of course. I am in a really good place right now on all levels and cherish everyday that I am given.
