FMM: You are a much sought after innovation architect and ecosystem builder. Tell us about RevExpo Consulting.

I never considered myself an innovator or an ecosystem builder until I was labeled as such by several colleagues. Looking back and reflecting on my life journey I did have to admit that they were absolutely correct, as I have constantly pushed against the status quo and created concepts that were considered avant-garde or futuristic by many. These qualities are aligned with our core RevExpo services which are innovation, transformation, business strategy and education, as well as with some of our boutique services such as design thinking for AI and blockchain, smart cities implementations or our X-Studio portfolio to only mention a few. My complex professional background in education, arts, and innovation has been a major foundation for my success in advancing the RevExpo mission.

FMM: What are your strengths as a consultant?

In addition to creative thinking and the complex strategic thinking required for ecosystem development, colleagues have often mentioned that I excel at coaching, problem solving and the application of design thinking methodology in novel settings or industries. I also take pride in my ability to perform rigorous feasibility analysis and execute projects on time, while abiding by Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen principles. My professional background is eclectic, as it encompasses earning my Masters in Pedagogy, Education and production from Boston Conservatory, my Master of Sciences in Healthcare Informatics and Analytics, my quest to complete a doctorate in Art Literature and Education and culminates with me having transitioned towards becoming an emerging tech advocate. After earning a series of executive certifications in innovation from Cornell University, Disruptive Strategy from Harvard University and Design Thinking from MIT, I am now fully dedicated to building innovative digital ecosystems as the Vice-President of RevExpo Consulting.

“Deployment of smart cities is an imperative for our digital era and the post-pandemic environment; it aligns with my lifelong expertise, with most of my professional interests and my passion for ensuring a human-centric design when deploying latest technologies.”

FMM: RevExpo Consulting services include High-Performance Coaching, Blockchain, Innovation, and more. What are the challenges you are seeing?

We are experiencing a time of global transformation and adaptation on a political, socio-economic and cultural level. The major challenges we are noticing nationally and globally are complex. Some are preceding the pandemic, others have been exacerbated by the pandemic and new ones have emerged due to a new hyper-connected, hyper-digitalized virtual environment businesses have to operate in. Executives that embarked early on the digital and business transformation journey are now better positioned to thrive in this volatile global economic environment, however those that hoped to resume “business as normal” are now feeling a lot of pressure. We aim to serve both ends of the spectrum: assist those that are starting to adapt to a digital economy and those that wish to be leaders in this environment.

FMM: What trends have you seen as a result of the pandemic?

As many innovators and futurists will confirm, the pandemic has accelerated the pace of emerging technology adoption, accelerated the pace of digital transformation and is likely to change the education, economic and employment landscape for generations to come. At RevExpo we assist interested individuals and businesses to not only thrive in this post-pandemic environment, but prepare them to be future-ready. We are likely to see a complete disruption and reconfiguration of educational systems, types of jobs emerging and disappearing, as well as digitally driven societal changes.

FMM: Tell us about your Virtual Executive Hub for Individuals and small businesses.

The Virtual Executive Hub is a service that emerged during the pandemic based on feedback from our community. While we originally offered only high-end boutique services to large corporations, we realized early that a pivot was necessary to also assist entrepreneurs and small to medium businesses. We offered professional executive coaching for skills suitable to the digital era and a series of strategies required for the new virtual way of conducting business.

FMM: In what ways have you grown the Miami Entrepreneurship ecosystem?

As Trustee Members of The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and by leveraging strategic relationships with several other international not for profit organizations that promote digital literacy, digital fluency, and ethical deployment of emerging technologies we have been able to host a variety of events that were geared towards elevating the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Miami. Our focus this past year has been on blockchain, AI and digital transformation which all play an important role in the post-pandemic economic recovery process.

FMM: Share your international projects. What project are you the most proud of?

There are several local, national and international projects I am currently involved in and have to emphasize that I am equally proud of all of them. However, there are two I would like to mention here, as they have large scale and global impact: smart cities and promoting youth leadership. Deployment of smart cities is an imperative for our digital era and the post-pandemic environment; it aligns with my lifelong expertise, with most of my professional interests and my passion for ensuring a human-centric design when deploying latest technologies. The second project with an expansive scope that builds on my educational and coaching expertise is the opportunity to be part of growing the impact Junior Chamber International can have for our young business professionals and entrepreneurs.

FMM: You are the President of the Institute for Science, Entrepreneurship, and Investments. What are the initiatives for 2021?

Our 2021 Initiatives are ambitious and draw upon our passion to have a global impact and change the world. We have a convener scheduled that aims to highlight the impact sciences have on the global entrepreneurship ecosystems, as well as another series of events that will focus on accelerating attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Goals via Impact investing, as well as share our expertise with various international organizations to increase digital identity adoption which can empower the global digital economy.

FMM: What are key areas of the organization?

As our institute’s title suggests, our core focus areas are: promoting scientific discovery and knowledge-sharing, acting as a catalyst and liaison for key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem and advocating for impact investing. We welcome volunteers, strategic partners or philanthropists that believe in our vision. We believe that the future depends on what we do in the present and there is a sense of urgency for all of us to be active participants in reshaping the global ecosystem.

FMM: You have partnered with the Miami Chamber of Commerce. How important is this relationship?

I was recently appointed as Ambassador for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Together we can augment, accelerate and amplify the post-pandemic recovery process. By using our combined resources and networks we believe that there is an opportunity to bring additional value to all our members and provide access to a global business ecosystem that would otherwise not be accessible to them.

FMM: Share your vision for 2021.

There are several projects I am extremely passionate about that are either in a concept phase, an MVP stage or planned for piloting in 2021. My recently developed concepts are a great example of a true metamorphosis from an artistic world to a digital world, are aligned with the major technology trends we are witnessing and transcend disciplines: The Internet of Arts, The Internet of Education and Artistic Smart Cities. Although I am not able to disclose all details, I can also share that we aim to leverage VR and XR to redesigning and revitalize the business events experience.
