FMM: You have spent almost a decade building a media empire. Tell us about your background as a Sports & Entertainment Reporter.

My degree is in journalism and communications. My journey began when I obtained an internship at ESPNLA radio. I covered events as a blogger, worked a part-time job while going to school, and dedicated my entire free time to be a journalist. I went from reporting local stories to covering mega-events such as the ESPY Awards, NBA All-Star Weekends, World Series, Stanley Cup, Rose Bowl championships, and more! I covered film premieres such as Straight Outta Compton, All Eyes On Me, Black Panther, to name a few.

FMM: Over the course of ten years, you have built a solid name for yourself in the journalism industry. What has been at the forefront of your mind during your career?

I’m focused on making sure black media companies are credited and respected. I’ve noticed that black media outlets tend to get overshadowed and are denied access to cover prominent sports and entertainment events, unlike major media companies. It’s important to me to change the narrative and break this barrier to allow for widespread opportunities for Black and brown media outlets.

FMM: You recently launched Nitecast Media (formerly known as Nitefall Media), the newest black-owned media and digital network company in the nation. Tell us more.

During the pandemic, I took time to recalibrate and rebrand Nitecast Media. It took me a decade to build a creditable platform focused on stories in and around underserved communities. For so long, I wanted to transcend any barriers in the media industry and go against the grain by creating my own media empire.

Nitecast Media is a groundbreaking digital media platform dedicated to producing unique, in-depth, real-life stories around emerging athletes, entertainers, and global leaders. Our multimedia platform offers sports fans and pop culture enthusiasts access to exclusive digital content such as documentaries, episodic series, film reviews, podcast shows, short-form articles, and behind-the-scenes interviews found on no other platform. Nitecast Media is partnered with several diverse platforms to provide maximum coverage to its 3.5+ million viewers.

FMM: What excites you the most?

Besides being a single dad and raising a son with Autism who continues to amaze me every day, I enjoy assisting and mentoring young aspiring journalists. I’m also excited to grow Nitecast Media and create content that’s real, authentic, and true to the communities in which we live and work.

FMM: Tell us about The Opposite Reaction on (Dash Radio).

The Opposite Reaction is a gateway to the world of sports, pop culture, and politics hosted by Jackie Rae and me. What’s compelling about the show is that Jackie and I don’t agree on much. Either we disagree with each other, or we disagree with the world. The show is opinionated, humorous, and full of great discussions. We started the show on streaming platforms. It has now grown to a national digital radio network.

FMM: Is Nitecast Media a game-changer?

The goal is not only to be a game-changer but a consistent and trusted source for our communities nationwide, especially our black and brown communities.

FMM: Tell us about the awe-inspiring leaders who are coming on your show.

We interviewed many exceptional individuals from sports to movies. Check out our website and social media channels to see the kind of interviews and news stories we share. We’re always accepting new guests on our shows. Feel free to reach out to me at nick.hamilton@nitecastmedia.com.

Why is Nitecast Media the perfect place for companies and their advertising dollars?

We join the fight for economic inclusion for black-owned media companies. This is the time for voices of color to be heard and recognized. To have the ability to disseminate information and to share our stories that sometimes mainstream America refuses to cover.

Nitecast Media is holding its stance and showing large corporations its worth in ad dollars and investments.

FMM: What is your vision for Nitecast Media?

My vision is to be a conglomerate that houses audio, digital video content, and filming and producing in-house documentaries and film shorts. Nitecast Media displays stories focused on Black and communities of color, women, LGBTQ, and so forth. Everyone has a story tell. Nitecast Media is a platform where people can be heard and seen.
