What do you enjoy most screenwriting or being a director of photography and why?

What I enjoy most about screenwriting is bringing my idea into life, taking a whole story, and formatting it into action! As far as directing, I enjoy directing the videographer into showing my vision with the shot of his camera!

What do you think is the current state of black filmmakers in the film industry?

I think it is a time of Black excellence and the rise of Black filmmakers. It has never been this much opportunity for black filmmakers as it is today.

Is there more that you would like to see happen in the movie business?

Yes, I would like to see more original films, more stories with twists and turns that leave the watchers with wide eyes. Also, I would like to see new writers and new filmmakers that have a fresh set of creative subjects.

What was the last film you watched that moved you?

Power, Queen of the South, and Sons of Anarchy really moved me but the last film that I watched and I said it was well put together was Queen and Slim.

What film genres do you like to write about and why?

I like to write about urban, horror, fantasy, drama, and comedy, but I’d say my favorite would be drama because I like to bring out the watcher’s emotions.
